Letter To The Editor: July 4th Independence Day

The birth of the United States of America is celebrated on July 4th of each year in states and possessions of the U.S. Independence Day is the anniversary of the day on which the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress in 1776.

Freedom is the condition of being free. The word freedom does not have the same meaning in all parts of the world and the Christian doctrine teaches that the Service of God is perfect freedom, which means and comes from obedience, and a person becomes free by obeying God’s rules.

There are many meanings of freedom:

Moral Freedom means the ability to choose between right and wrong, and to tell the difference between good and evil. We need help with morals.

Political Freedom developed partly from religious beliefs in freedom of the will. Government needs to stay out of church. We need not their help.

Freedom of Religion in the broadest sense means the right of each person to worship according to his own convictions. This means a person may practice whatever religion he chooses, as long as these do not directly injure other people or threaten to destroy society.

In many parts of the world, religious toleration does not exist! Totalitarian governments bitterly oppose religion, and in some countries it has become dangerous for a person to practice his faith.

The purpose for this letter was to stand up for our flag, or freedom, our country, that we will not allow socialism to enter the U.S. like some politicians are for. We must fight against this with every ounce of God’s help. This will destroy our country.

God Bless the United States of America.
