Summer orientation and registration sessions for freshman, transfer and adult students will continue throughout the months of June and July at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

SOAR is required for all incoming freshman students, and sessions are scheduled from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., June 21, July 12 and July 22. Students must have received an official acceptance letter from UT Martin to attend orientation. Registration $45 per student and $20 for each additional guest, including parents, guardians, siblings and friends. No tuition or fee payments are due until the start of the fall semester.

Orientation begins with check-in and an administrative fair, and an official welcome will begin at 9. Break-out sessions discussing Greek life, student organizations, choosing a major and preparing for academic success will be held later in the morning.

Additional sessions on the transition to college, housing and meal plans, travel-study and study-abroad opportunities will follow lunch in the Skyhawk Dining Hall. Students will then meet with a faculty advisor to register for classes.

Visit utm.edu/soar to register.

Transfer and Adult Orientation is optional for students in those categories, and sessions are scheduled from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., June 18 and July 19. Special interest sessions on similar topics will be held from 9-10:30 a.m., and academic advising with faculty advisors will begin at 10:45.
