Mark Dwayne Wilson passed Oct. 9, 2019 surrounded by the family that loves him so deeply.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Brad Patterson and Les Keen officiating.
Burial followed in Henderson City Cemetery.
The family received friends at East Main Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
He was born into this world Jan. 30, 1972 in Jackson.
He and his high school sweetheart, Brandi Ellis married in July 1995 after dating for nearly six years. They have shared their lives and love for one another for over 30 years. That love has been extended to their sons Luke Barrett Wilson (10) and Brett Ashton Wilson (7). They have made their family home in Henderson for 23 years.
He is not defined by where he worked but by the man he has always been. He has worked in several industries and places – Jackson Madison County General Hospital, manufacturing, Dwain Seaton Ford, Lowes and Jackson Supply Company. He was known for his kindness, his laugh, his humility, respect of others and the joy that permeated from him.
He was a Christian, a loving husband, father, son, brother and so much more. As he now watches over his loved ones from heaven, standing with Jesus, he is free of glioblastoma, the brain cancer that took him.
He fought a hard battle against a raging beast. He has inspired many by his strength, his faith, his courage and his love. His legacy of goodness and faith will continue by those he leaves behind.
His is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Ellis Wilson; his amazing sons, Luke Barrett Wilson and Brett Ashton Wilson all of Henderson; his parents, Peggy Loyd Wilson and Milton Wilson of Pinson; two brothers, Chris (Crystal) Wilson of Luray and Ryan (Kelly) Wilson of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.
