It is time to “fall back”! Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. Do not forget to set your clocks back one hour this weekend. Time officially changes at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, so remember to change your clocks before heading to bed Saturday night. This means more daylight hours in the morning and more darkness in the evening. Bummer. I wish we could stay on Daylight Savings Time, as I hate when it gets dark so early. Did you know that Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe this change, as they do not take part in Daylight Savings Time?
While here visiting, my niece Donna and Ed invited aunts and cousins out to their Chickasaw cabin for a chili luncheon last Tuesday. Those attending were myself, Barbara and Glen Smith, Ellna and W. T. Roland, Ann and Bob Morris, Pam Clayton and Janice Schultz. We all had a great time and shared lots of laughs.
I saw fellow news writer Patsy Nobles Jones at the rummage sale held at the National Guard Armory last week. We both found a few bargains to take home with us.
Remember in prayer: Ricky Hearn, Elvie Lee Sanders, Arlan Porter, Walt and Ann Bennett, Richy Butler, Ronnie and Ladelle Clark, Mildred Smith, Mary Alice and Martha Autry, Ann Morrison, Bonice Martin, Erma Lee Morris, Peggy Whitman, Sue Greene, Jim Ruth, W.T Roland, Peggy Lard, William Maness and all the caregivers. If you would like to add or remove a name, please call me.
If you would like to rent the center for your special event, please call Nancy Patterson at 608-1159. Remember that it gets busy around the holidays, so call early to reserve your date.
Do not be shy! Please call me at 989-3315 to share any tidbits of news. Also, if you would like your anniversary and/or birthday listed in our news, let me know. Without your help, it is very difficult to write this column.
Have a great week, and call me with news!
