Kacey Donegan, Claire Walker earn second-team honors

Lady Lion volleyball players Kacey Donegan and Claire Walker were named American Midwest Conference Second Team All-Conference, the league announced Friday. They were joined by teammates Reilly Fulton, Emma Self and Shea Dean, who were all named AMC All-Conference Honorable Mentions. Donegan had a standout freshman season, leading the conference in kills with 481. She had 357 digs on the year and completed 17 double-doubles in the season. She was named the AMC Attacker of the Week on November 4.
Her counterpart, Walker, wasn’t too far behind in total kills. The junior recorded 465 on the season, which was second in the conference. This is her second straight season being named to the All Conference Second-Team.
After a record-breaking year and leading the conference in total digs with 646, Fulton was named an Al-Conference Honorable Mention for the second straight season. The junior was named the AMC Player of the Week on three occasions. Self – also an honorable mention for the second straight season – finished the season with 1,192 assists, second only to the Freshman and Setter of the Year Luisa Ferreira out of Columbia. Dean came on strong this season for the Lady Lions after posting 258 kills.
