Cookies For Cancer will be hosting their Second Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner on from 11 a.m.-2p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov 28. Plates can be picked up at 124A North Church Ave., Henderson. Call 658-6347 and ask for Beth Everett. Place your orders early. Dinners consist of roasted turkey with gravy, homemade dressing/stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans and homemade roll plus a slice of homemade pumpkin pie.
If you know anyone who needs a plate this year, let us know. We will have limited deliveries. This is FREE, and all donations go towards THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. Anyone can donate to the cause while helping someone in need get a plate at the same time.
The holidays are fast approaching and then it will be the end of the year before we know it. I feel like time is moving faster and faster. Where has this year gone?
