Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a good week. The sky was a beautiful blue, and the weather was crisp and chilly on Saturday. I suppose everyone is using some form of heat, and I hope everyone is warm. Our grandson Braxton shot his first deer this morning. It was a doe and looked like it weighed about 140 pounds. We are very happy for him. The temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 40’s and 50’s for the next two weeks.
I do not know about others, but we have not finished trimming a few things outside. I am hoping maybe we can catch what is left in the one warm day ahead. If not, life goes on. As we age, most of us can not do what we used to do. It is hard for many as they age, and your mind says one thing while your body says the other. It becomes easier if we can just realize we need to slow down in life. I guess it is the Lord’s way of having us take time to truly appreciate life and all its blessings. Find peace at this point in our lives. I find my peace in God. He is my comfort. I do not like drama and turmoil. Life is too short for it. Everyone has good and bad traits, but life is easier if we do not fight other people’s negative traits and try to correct our own. Just relax as much as possible and know that God is with us all, and the more you focus on Him, the easier life will be. God bless you all.

“Weak” by Diane Ranker Riesen – “Today, Oh Lord, I’m hurting – I’m weak, lost and confused/all the strength I thought I had is gone; and has been used/Each task seems overwhelming, and so useless to complete/My spirit lives, but seems asleep – I can’t get on my feet/Grief sneaks up out of nowhere, and it has no scheduled time/It steals your breath and happiness – with no rhythm nor no rhyme/Earth’s trials seem so uncertain, and ‘tomorrow’ makes me shake/for I have no idea how I’ll feel when I awake/Yet, even in this darkness – there is ‘faith’ down deep inside/and though it’s weak and tired now…Your Power will abide/in this wearing sorrow – I will say a single prayer/and once again, fall back to You…and wait for answers there.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please call me at 983-0718 or email mimmiepots@gmail.com.
