with Carolyn Goff

We had two beautiful days at the beginning of this week. I am so happy to get a break from cold, rainy weather. It is just too depressing. But good news! Punxsutawney Phil predicts early spring!
We have several birthdays this week Meagan Barnett and Raghan Morton on Feb. 6; Larry Rose is on Feb. 7; Bobby Tully, Ashley Fish, and Alligrace Howell celebrate on Feb. 8, and someone named Carolyn Goff is another year older on Feb. 9! So happy I have made it through another year. As a new chapter begins in your life, I would like to wish that it brings you all the love and happiness you could have ever hoped to have. Happy Birthday!
Please continue to pray for our neighbors and friends in our community: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Carolyn Brasfield, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles, Ms. June Davis, Carolyn Goff, Johnny Roach and his son Johnny, Jr. Please reach out to our shut-ins and nursing home folks. Also, our military, our law enforcement and first responders, and do not forget the ones that have lost loved ones. Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Our devotion for this week: “But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon (NLT) Psalm 92:12. Why do self-help books sell so well? We are all looking for a way to flourish in a world that is filled with struggles and setbacks. Psalms give us the true path to an abundant life: living a righteous life that is planted in the Lord. It is only through the Lord we that we can flourish.” from the Devotion App.
Well, I see where the first 2020 Corvette has rolled off the assembly line today. How many of you are going to put your order in? They are just $59,995. Not bad, I figured more. I guess if you knew her or read her books you heard that the suspense writer, Mary Higgins Clark, passed away this past weekend at the age of 92. I loved her books and tried to read all of them.
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” – E.E. Cummings
