Hello to all communities and everyone who lives out of town and loves to read the Chester County Independent. I hope everyone is doing well. So many cases of flu and sinus problems are going around. Praying we are going to be safe from the coronavirus and praying for the not so fortunate. I love being where I live and not the big city.
Please continue to pray for our neighbors and friends in our community and others: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Carolyn Brasfield, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles, Ms. June Davis, Johnny Roach and his son Johnny, Jr. and my cousin Barbara Sue Mitchell. She has been fighting a serious illness, and they can not do anymore for her. We are the same age, and she is the daughter of my mom’s oldest sister who had nine kids.
Please reach out to our shut-ins and nursing home folks. Also, our military, our law enforcement and first responders, and do not forget the ones that have lost loved ones. Galatlians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Only one birthday this week, and it is Cecil Murley (Billy, I call him), another dear cousin. I hope you will have a wonderful day.
Happy anniversary to Tony and Kimba Harris. Yes, Tony is another cousin! Hope it is the best yet!
Our devotion for this week: Why You Must Forgive (Charles Stanley, The Power of the Cross) – “‘Wherever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.’ Mark 11:25. Forgiveness is something that each of us has had to deal with in one way or another. What might take you just a short time to work through might be a process that takes someone else time, prayer, and godly counsel. But it is a process we cannot ignore, not if we want to be free to become the persons God created us to be. If we refuse to deal with the bitterness and resentments that put us in bondage, we cannot have the fellowship with our Father that we are supposed to have. I realize that time does not heal, dear Lord. Healing comes only as I learn to forgive, but I can’t do it in myself. Help me do it in Your strength.”
I pray everyone has a bless and happy with. Thank you for reading. Please send me anything you want me to share.
