City to consider adding four-way stop at Crook and Second


This evening, at 7 p.m. July 9, the Henderson Mayor and Board of Alderman will take into consideration the request of a 4-Way Stop at the intersection of Crook Ave and Second Street during their monthly meeting.
Other things to be discussed are: to take action on the 2020-2021 City Budget and Tax Rate Public Hearing on the proposed Budget; the consideration of the 2020-2021 Budget and Tax Rate Ordinance on the final reading; the considered approval of the 2020-2021 Utility Department Operations and Capital Budgets; to take action on a Municipal Rezoning request of Tax Parcels located on US Highway 45. The parcels are located in the proposed Hotel TIF Area; a public hearing on the proposed rezoning; consideration of the Ordinance to rezone; consider bids received on paving and construction materials for use by the Public Works Department until June 30, 2021; to Adopt a resolution authorizing an application for the Safety Partners Grant through the city insurance pool; discuss the Fire Chief position vacancy due to the retirement of Fire Chief Glenn Bryan; Consider taking bids on the roof repair/coating of the Utility Operations Building and the City Maintenance Shop and considering approving the purchase of two police vehicles on state contract; to consider approving the purchase of two police vehicles on state contract.
