Prairie Farms Dairy GAVE complimentary dairy products. Here is the addresses to send thank you notes – Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. Edwardsville, IL 62025. We’ve enjoyed excellent products and need to show our appreciation. I made a sour cream coconut cake; sour cream hash brown casserole; scalloped potatoes with French onion dip and cream cheese; and fresh peaches mixed with cottage cheese and turned one gallon of white milk into chocolate. Delores Perkins says she started buying Prairie Farms ice cream and says it is good. What did you bake? I saw a hard-working crew – Barry Hutcherson, Lance Beshires, Beverly Morton, Wayne Scott, Roy Sharp, Bobby Helton and Joey Gildea, Prairie Farms driver. We appreciated the police and Freed-Hardeman security guard’s guidance.
Are you paying ANY attention to news announcements? The “C- Virus” number is going up, up, but NOT away. As of Aug. 3, there were 191 total virus cases, and as of Aug. 10 there are 221 total virus cases in Chester County. HINT: No shirt, No shoes, No mask, No service. I saw signs in McNairy County that make good points – “COVERED 20 – We’ve got you covered in prayer” and “NO VISITORS INSIDE OR OUT.” Listen to Pat – wear your mask, wash your hands and keep them away from your face. A small amount of peppermint essential oil inside the mask helps one breathe easier, and thieves essential oil is an excellent germ killer. We order monthly.
World Elephant Day was Aug. 12. It is an international annual event dedicated to preservation and protection of the world’s elephants. It is now supported by over 65 wildlife organizations and many people in countries across the globe. Sadly, according to worldelephantday.org, around 100 African Elephants are killed daily. They will soon be extinct. Asian elephants are fewer in number.
August 1892 – The Pledge of Allegiance was written by Francis Bellany (1855/1931). Do you and your kids know the words? When I was in school, we saluted the flag to begin our day on a good note. You and your family can still do this. “Old Glory” is beautiful, the most beautiful flag worldwide. Honor her – she does so much for us. Vote right and watch her wave! We must not lose our own thinking. Don’t let others influence you negatively. God bless the USA. “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Every soldier knows these words! You like freedoms, don’t you? Stand up, place your right hand over your heart and look at our American flag with pride. Have you ever thought about losing this privilege of saluting and reciting?
Chester County schools begin Aug. 10. Here is a good quote for educators.
