Murdell Brewer McCall Barker, 101, a homemaker from Henderson, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 at Jackson General Hospital. 
Services will be held privately with Dr. James Huggins and Dr. Milton Sewell officiating.
Burial will be at Unity Cemetery near Jacks Creek. Memorial donations may be made to the Unity Cemetery Fund, 3185 Hwy 22A, Huron, TN 38345.
She was born Feb. 19, 1919 in Chester County and lived near Jacks Creek most of her life, the daughter of the late Albert M. Brewer and Mary Melton Brewer. She moved to Henderson in 1995.
She was a retired hairdresser. She was owner and operator of Murdell’s Antique Beauty Shop for 27 years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, National Hairdressers Association, and the Jacks Creek F.C.E., having served as its president. She won several blue ribbons for her sewing and was especially talented for her heirloom sewing. She was an artist and enjoyed sharing her paintings with others. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She is survived by one son, Joel (Janis) McCall; grandchildren, Hal (Denise) Bishop, Jr. of Knoxville, Marva (Eric) Sain of Henderson, Kevin (Juli) Bishop of Kosciusko, Miss., Mollie (Tim) Forderhase of Jackson and John (Holly) McCall of Orlando, Fla; 11 great-grandchildren: Hal Bishop, III, Warren and Camille Bishop, Emily and April Sain, Amanda Stinson, Alexandra and Anna Forderhase and Anniston, Grady and Wiley McCall; a niece, Trudy B. Calvin of Louisville, Ky.; and two nephews, Jeff and Jacky Butler of Mifflin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Camille McCall Bishop of Gulfport, Miss.; a brother, Leon Brewer of Henderson; one sister, Clyde Butler of Mifflin; and two husbands, Marvin McCall who died in 1943 and Travis Barker in 1995.
