Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! Goodbye, August; hello, September. This year is moving right along. Monday, Sept. 7, is Labor Day, a federal holiday in the United States that honors the American labor movement and the contributions of laborers to the advancement of the United States. It is observed on the first Monday in September, giving us a long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend. With the day off work, many will spend it with family; lots will be visiting the river, boating, camping or swimming, and barbeque aromas will be in the air. However you spend the holiday, I hope it is a fun and safe one! Labor Day is commonly known as the last holiday of summer.
School is going well in Chester County so far. We are thankful for this, and we will continue praying for students, teachers and all involved.
Happy birthday wishes go to Steven Grisham and Larry Lambert on Sept. 4, Mason Weeks on Sept. 7 and Jasper Weeks on Sept. 10. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the families of Bryan Brooks and Murdell Barker. Also, pray for Christy and Linda Phillips, Amanda Johnson, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice Keen, Florence Stublaski, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Doris Weeks, Janet Scott, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jo Marie Holmes, Inez Cash, Imogene Hollin, Lisa Bishop, Dean Hutcherson, Dennis Harwell, Ann Vanhoose, Kristen Daniel, Genny Sue Martin, Brother Bill Evans, Tim Harris, Wayne Bethune, Dwayne and Nona Seaton, Dwayne Seaton, Jr., others affected by COVID-19, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders and law enforcement and, as always, each other.
