Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! Fall is here, and it feels wonderful outside. We have had a couple of weeks of fall like temperatures. Danny and I missed last week’s; we were a little under the weather. We have been down with our sinuses. The shot seemed to take a long time to work, but we are feeling better this week.
Well, it is that time of year. The harvest is about to begin. Folks are cutting, raking and bailing hay, so I am sure there will be more sneezing and itchy watery eyes to come. I am ready to get my fall decorations out and up. I have been seeing some beautiful arrangements on Facebook, which makes me want to get started, so I need to get over this mess and get busy!
Parent/teacher conference will be different this year. They are virtual. I totally understand, but it will not be like a face to face sit down chat. We do what we have to do to keep our students and faculty safe. That is our main concern right now. Prayerfully, things will get better!
Please pray for the family of Jo Martin and continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Linda Phillips, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice Keen, Florence Stublaski, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Doris Weeks, Jo Marie Holmes, Lisa Bishop, Dean Hutcherson, Dennis Harwell, Ann Vanhoose, Kristen Daniel, Genny Sue Martin, Janet Scott, Amanda Johnson, Inez Cash, Imogene Hollin, Brother Bill Evans, Dwayne and Nona Seaton, Dwayne Seaton, Jr., Tim Harris, Wayne Bethune, everyone affected by the virus, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and healthcare workers, those affected by the wildfires and hurricanes and, as always, each other.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Julie Smith on Sept. 25, Lisa Finley on Sept. 26, Calvin Hilton on Sept. 27 and Nicholas Maness on Sept. 28. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Remember that this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Watch out for school bus stops and farm equipment on the roads. Be safe everyone!
