Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions Sweep Stars In Season Opener

The Freed-Hardeman University volleyball team (1-0) got a series sweep win over Stephen’s College (2-2) in their season opener.
The Lady Lions got things started in the first set with a 25-23 win to take a 1-0 lead. The team would pick-up right where they left off in the second set with a 25-15 win, and finish the Stars off in the third set with a 25-19 win to secure the victory.
The Lady Lions were led by Kacey Donegan, who had 11 kills in the match. Allie Humphry dished out 11 assists, and Emma Self contributed 10 of her own. Reilly Fulton (pictured) led the way defensively as she had seven digs in the contest.
