Chester County Boys Cross Country team earns 16th place at State

The Chester County High School boys’ cross country team ran the TSSAA Large School Division State Championship meet this past Thursday at Sanders’ Ferry Park in Hendersonville, TN. They ran against 196 of the top runners across the state. Carter Welch and Tucker Allen finished 41st and 43rd with times of 17:00 and 17:02, Garrett Robison finished with a time of 18:15 placing 133rd, Stewart Brown was next up placing 156th running a 18:57, and Cade Thompson wrapped up the top 5 with a 166th place finish running a 19:28. Evans Bailey and Tucker Webb also ran for the eagles both running under 22 minutes. The team placed 16th out of 24 teams with a score of 446 and an average time among the top 5 of 18:09. Carter Welch and Tucker Allen earned a spot in Tennessee’s “Elite 50” based on their race times. This meet wrapped up a very successful season for the Eagles.
