Fill a Fire Truck Event Nov. 27
Cash Express has partnered with the Chester County Fire Department for their annual toy and coat driver on Nov. 27 at 417 E Main Street. Please bring new or gently used coats and toys and canned goods.
Toy and Food Drive Nov. 28
There will be a food and toy drive from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Chester County High School, 552 E. Main St. Accepting new toys and non-perishable food. Ages new born to 17 years old. For more information or to help, please call or text Sheila Taylor at 608-1764 or Emily Delaney at 879-2370.
CC Library Book Sale Dec. 1
The Chester County Library will be holding a book sale beginning on Dec. 1, 2020. Due to COVID-19, the following restrictions will be in place. The book sale will have two designated areas – a set of shelves and a series of tables. Only two families may browse each section of the book sale at a time to abide by social distancing guidelines. We do recommend masks but they are not required at this time. We will have gloves available for those who would like to use gloves while browsing. We will have sanitizer available at each station. Prices are as follows: Hardcover books – 50 cents, Paperback books – 25 cents, DVDs – $1, Audiobooks – $2, television series – $2 for two disc seasons and $3 for three disc or more seasons, one Bag of Books (hardcover or paperback) for $3 (library staff will provide bag). Due to COVID-19, this is the first book sale we have hosted this year. As a result, we have run out of room and cannot accept anymore donations. Please hold donations until the new year or donate them to one of these great locations/organizations: Free Little Library at Chickasaw State Park, Free Little Library at the Post Office, Gleaners House, or Goodwill. 
Henderson Christmas Parade Dec. 3
The 2020 Henderson Christmas Parade will take place Thursday, Dec. 3, in downtown Henderson.
CC Republican Party Meeting Dec. 14
The next quarterly meeting of the Chester County Republican Party is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson City Hall upstairs, 121 Crook Avenue in Henderson. All Republicans and conservatives are invited to arrive early to mingle and listen to some inspiring patriotic music. After a (brief) business meeting, the Annual Auction of really interesting items will be auctioned off. This Auction is the last fund-raising event for the year for the local GOP and all proceeds will be spent in Chester County. Anyone wishing to donate items for the Auction is asked to call Chad Cherry, Chair of the Chester County GOP, at 731-608-1523.
