LOUISE ROWLAND Obituary – Feb. 13, 1924 – Jan. 12, 2021


Mildred Louise Flowers Rowland, 96, of Henderson passed away Jan. 12, 2021 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Woodville Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.   
She was born Feb. 13, 1924 in Lauderdale County near Henning and reared in the Woodville Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Robert Henry and Almedia Jernigan Flowers. She attended schools in Chester County.
In 1940 she married Willard Andrew Rowland. They made their home in the Woodville Community where Mr. Rowland farmed and worked for the State of Tennessee Highway Department Mr. Rowland died in March 1987.
She was employed for 20 years by Salant & Salant Mfg. and later Chester Mfg.
She was a member of the Piney Grove Church of God where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed working in her flowers, quilting and needlework.  
She is survived by a son, Larry (Virginia) Rowland of Henderson, and two grandsons, Marty (Melissa) Rowland of Henderson and Joey Rowland of Florida.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Andrew Rowland; a son, Donald H. Rowland on Nov. 29, 2009; three brothers, Herman Flowers, Jim Flowers and Bulin Flowers; and two sisters, Eula Mae Johnson and Marie Hodge.
