A tough second half for the Freed-Hardeman University Lions (11-7, 6-6 MSC) led to a 72-51 loss to Georgetown College (13-3, 10-3 MSC) on Monday Feb. 1 night.
FHU had a strong first half, forcing 11 turnovers by the Tigers and doing well in transition to only trail by two points at the break.
But Georgetown came out of the locker room hot, forcing the Lions to turn it over 11 times themselves.
The Tigers outrebounded the Lions in the game 52-28, which led to the lopsided score as the game came to a close.
John Musselwhite led the Lions in scoring and rebounding, scoring 14 points on four made 3-point baskets while pulling down seven boards.
The Lions will stay on the road through the weekend, starting with a matchup against Life University on Thursday Feb. 4.
