Judy Glover Obituary – Aug. 17, 1942 – Feb. 25, 2021


Judy Ledbetter Glover, 78, resident of Finger went to her heavenly home on Feb. 25, 2021. She had suffered from Alzheimer’s for nearly 12 years. Her husband of 58 years, Thomas Glover, lovingly cared for her in their home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Bethel Springs with Mark LaRue officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Scotty Stout, Nathan Stout, Patrick Parker, Michael Hastings, Holden Hastings and Bobby Yarbrough.

She was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Memphis to the late James Evans Ledbetter II and the late Mary Frances Stewart Ledbetter.
She graduated from Messick High School and was later married to Thomas Glover Aug. 18, 1962. She began her career in Memphis as a switchboard operator for Bell South and retired as a framer after working there over 30 years. She continued working after relocating to Finger as a call center representative at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, sewing and traveling. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Marilyn (Scott) Stout; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, June (Don) Clarkson; and one brother, Jim (Bobby) Ledbetter.
