City of Henderson considers bed and breakfast ordinance amendment

The Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen met on Thursday, April 8 for their April meeting.
During the meeting the board, after considering an ordinance that would allow Henderson to have bed and breakfasts establishments, it was passed for a second reading with a roll call vote with two aldermen absent; Jason Rhodes and Michael Phelps. The second reading will take place next month on May 13.
After discussing Henderson zoning to match Chester County’s animal feedlot operations, the first reading was passed and the second reading will occur next month as well.
The city also approved the retirement rate for the 2021-2022 Budget Year at 16 percent.
In the end of March, begun on the Recreational Trails Project grant at Gene Record Park. This project consists of 3/4 of a mile of paved trails and 20 additional parking spaces. The project should be completed by the Fall of this year. The total cost of project is $339,000.
