News from the Enville Community of Chester County

with Jan Johnson

Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I hope you get to spend it with family. If you are too far away to come home, a card or a call would be nice, I am sure. Treat your mom to a barbeque lunch! The Enville Volunteer Fire Department is having a fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8. They will be serving pork, chicken and bologna. The community center committee will have your favorite desserts inside the city hall. If you can donate some baked goods, call Pat at 688-5125. Come out and support your community!
The Junior High Boys Soccer season has ended, and they had a great season. They are the 2021 District Champs. Congratulations to all our boys!
Dixie Youth baseball, softball and T-Ball is well underway, but the rain has cancelled a few games. Maybe it will dry up so we can play ball. Travel teams are also playing far and near. We hope you all have a great season!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Beverly Weatherington and Tarecia Shelton on May 7 and Pete Ramey on May 9. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Jean Crowell, Linda and Robert Johnson, Jo Marie Holmes, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Genny Sue Martin, Tim Hampton, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Wanda Ellis, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and healthcare workers and, as always, each other. Decorations for the second Sunday are Woodlawn, Mars Hill, Milledgeville, Sweetlips and Finger. Please contribute to your cemeteries.
If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call at Pat 688-5125. Have a blessed week.
