City of Henderson to consider final action that would allow bed and breakfast establishments

At 7 p.m. on May 13, The Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen will have their May meeting.
The city will consider final action on an ordinance amending the Henderson Municipal Zoning Ordinance that would allow Bed and Breakfast Establishments.
They will also consider final action on an ordinance amending the Henderson Regional Zoning Ordinance that would allow as a use on appeal and set regulations on Animal Feedlot Operations in the planning region.
Other items scheduled for the meeting are considering an ordinance amending Municipal Code, Title 16, Chapter 1, Section 16-110 concerning Parades: Regulations and Permits; discussing and considering passage of the 2021-2022 City Budget and Tax Rate Ordinance on the first reading. The proposed tax rate will remain the same at $1.05 per $100 of assessed value.
The board will also discuss and consider passage of an ordinance to set water and sewer rates effective July 1, 2021 on the first reading.
Lastly, they will consider adoption of a resolution authorizing an application for a Delta Regional Authority (DRA) Grant for a water main extension along the west side of Highway 45 North in the 1600-2900 block for fire protection.
Following the Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet as a committee to discuss the 2021-2022 Utility Department Budget. No final action will take place at this committee meeting.
