Hello from Enville! I hope everyone enjoyed their week! We have been enjoying this weather. Last weekend was gorgeous, and I hope this weekend will be more of the same although the forecast is calling for some scattered rain showers. Maybe it will be good for our Memorial Day weekend. According to Wikipedia, Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States when we honor and mourn the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday is observed on the last Monday of May, which is May 31 this year. Sometimes folks get Memorial Day and Veterans Day confused. We honor and remember our fallen soldiers on Memorial Day, and we honor our current troops on Veterans Day. Fly your red, white and blue, attend parades and programs on Memorial Day or spend it with family and friends. I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!
May is almost gone, and June is just around the corner. This year is almost half over. It is so hard to believe. By the time you read this news, school will be out for the summer. Hopefully, when it starts back in the fall, the students and faculty will be back to some kind of normal, and we are praying for no masks without worry.
We wish a very happy birthday to Pat Weatherington on May 31. Happy anniversary to Rick and Sherry Kendall on June 3. We hope you all enjoy your special day.
Please continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Jean Crowell, Linda and Robert Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jo Marie Holmes, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Tim Harris, Genny Sue Martin, Jimmy Robertson, those battling illnesses, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
