Brittany Adair and Josh Sears earn honors

Brittany Adair was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American. The organization announced after her record-setting season with the Lady Lions in 2021.
Adair was named a Second Team At-Large-Pitcher All-American for the NFCA after her first season with FHU.
During her first season, Adair posted a 1.27 ERA in 154 innings pitched and an 18-6 record. She struck out 251 batters while opponents hit just .125 against her. She had 16 complete games and nine shutouts.
In the Mid-South Conference, Adair ranked second in ERA, first in batting average against, second in innings pitched per game, fourth in total innings pitched, second in strikeouts per game, second in total strikeouts, second in hits per game, third in total hits allowed, fourth in runs allowed and third in wins.
She was second nationally in opponent batting average, sixth nationally in total strikeouts and top 15 in ERA.
She had 13 double-digit strikeout performances, and she tied a single-game Lady Lions record for strikeouts, punching out 18 in a win over Blue Mountain College on April 6.
Adair was named First Team All-Conference, as well as NFCA All-Region VI.
Josh Sears was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, the league announced Tuesday, after a stellar senior season with the Lions.
The now three-time All-American led the Lions in nearly every batting category, including batting average (.374), hits (65), RBI’s (53), total bases (137), slugging percentage (.787), walks (45), home runs (21), on-base percentage (.518) and OPS (.1.305).
In the Mid-South Conference, Sears ranked third in slugging percentage, second in home runs, first in on-base percentage, second in total bases, and sixth in both batting average and RBI’s.
Sears holds three single-season FHU home run records, each with 21 long balls, and he sits atop the career home runs list with 67. His 216 career RBI’s also top the Lions record book alongside a .741 career slugging percentage.
Sears was named a First Team All-American in his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2018 and 2019.
