Mr. Robert O’Neal Patrick, 83, of Tifton passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Ridge Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Harold Chambers and Mr. Larry Stewart officiating. Burial with a graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at Vandyke Grove Cemetery in Paris. The family received friends before the service at Ridge Avenue Church Christ from 10-10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Christian School, 4359 Dasher Road, Valdosta, Ga. 31601. Albritton Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the online guest register at www.albrittonfuneral.com. Roy Willis, Klint Guess, David Tanner, Patrick Britt, Garrison Britt and John Paulk served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Wiseman and Kevin Guess.
He was born Sept. 6, 1937 in Hardeman County, to the late John Robert Patrick and Louise O’Neal Patrick.
He was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ and owner of Patrick Tractor Company. He had lived in Tifton since 1986. He was a man of faith and very active in his church where he served as an Elder and did anything he could to support the church and congregation. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and loved his country. He was a lifetime member of the Future Farmers of America. He was a supporter of Agribusiness, and he and Mrs. Patrick traveled often internationally in business related agricultural matters. He loved his family especially his grandsons. He loved all children. He was a people person and was a man respected in his community. He was a 1955 graduate of Chester County High School and received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Tennessee in Martin in 1959. He was on the Board of Directors for Georgia Christian School in Valdosta.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Darron Britt of Athens; his son, Randal Patrick of Nashville; two grandsons, Patrick Britt and Garrison Britt; and his sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and John McCadams of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janice Clifford; and his wife, Betty Johnson Patrick who died May 13, 2019 and to whom he was married for 54 years at her death.
