Chester County Sweetees win state tourney to play World Series Belles play for World Series Championship

The Chester County Sweetees did what was needed to go to the World Series in Alexandra, Louisiana by defeating Madison Central twice to be Tennessee Sweetees Champions.

After battling it out in two games against Madison Central, the Chester County Sweetees won the State Sweetees Dixie Tournament last Tuesday. This gives them the opportunity to play at the Sweetees World Series that starts July 31 at Alexandria, Louisiana.
“The girls took a loss to the start of the tournament, but didn’t let that get them down,” said Coach Kayla Lott.
Now this Tuesday, July 27, at the time of printing, the Chester County Belles were playing for the Belles World Series Championship.
On Saturday, the Belles defeated Alabama (4-1).
On Sunday, they wiped out Moncks Corner, South Carolina (10-0).
Monday featured a one run win against North Carolina, (6-5) and a loss against Louisiana (12-5).
Nontheless, they came back and defeated North Carolina (10-9) when they met with them again.
During the championship, they had to play against Louisiana again.

The 5-6 year old boys Chester County team that went to the World Series won their first game (20-19) against South Bibb, Alabama.
Unfortuantely, they lost in the quarter finals against Moundeville, Alabama (11-9).
