News from the Enville Community of Chester County

with Jan Johnson

Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. We had some nice breezes last week, but I think the August weather is back this week. August is almost to the mid month mark. I can not believe how fast it is going by. Labor Day will be here before we know it.
Well, everyone survived the first week of school, and I am sure they are settling in to the new year. We hope and pray for a good and safe year for all.
Everyone come out on Aug. 28 for the Enville Wild Goose Shindig. There will be barbeque pork, chicken, bologna, hamburgers, hotdogs and ice cream. There will be a silent auction, cakewalk, 50/50 drawing, dancing with Bo Jack and his band. The action will begin at 4 p.m. and will end at 9 p.m., so come for the fellowship and support the fire department and community club. For those of you who do not know where the name came from, Enville was called Wild Goose many years ago but was later changed to Enville!
Enville sends Happy Birthday wishes to Lee Ann O’Neal and Mike Brewer on Aug. 14 and Christopher Canaday on Aug. 16. Happy Anniversary to Don and Frances Willis on Aug. 17. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Gail Durbin, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Linda and Robert Johnson, Genny Sue Martin, Tim Hampton, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Roger Henson, Mitch Maness, Roy Middleton, Jo Marie Holmes, those battling illnesses, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and healthcare workers, those affected by COVID and, as always, each other.
