Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week and a better one this week. These temperatures in the 80s are looking and feeling pretty good. I am ready for fall like weather, but it is still a month away, although this month is slipping away pretty fast. I hope everyone is having a good start to the school year. Fall sports are up and going. We had a great time at the Chester County Football Showcase last Friday night. We watched our granddaughter play her softball game last week. Bless her heart. During warm-ups, she got hit with the ball on her cheekbone, but it did not stop her from playing. She loves her sports. We look forward to watching a lot of ball this season.
The Enville Community Club and Fire Department will have a Wild Goose Shindig on Aug. 28. There will be barbeque pork, chicken, bologna, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, popcorn, a silent auction, cakewalk (cake donations will be appreciated) and music by Bo Jack and band. Come on out and be a part of the food, fun and fellowship. Activities are 4-9 p.m.
Happy birthday wishes to Mike Mooney on Aug. 21, Anita Lambert on Aug. 24 and Crystal Hunt and Maxine Grisham on Aug. 26. Happy anniversary to Mike and Marilyn Mooney on Aug. 21 and Jeff and Lisa Finley on Aug. 26. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
