The Tennessee Junior Hereford Show was held Friday, August 13 at the Tennessee State Fair in Lebanon. This is the largest junior show held in the state of Tennessee each year in August. Bristol Cherry, fifth grade 4-H student at Chester County Middle School won first place in junior showmanship and also had reserve fall heifer champion. Winning showmanship in only her a second year of competing is outstanding. Bristol loves her heifer and it shows with all her hard work and improvement in the showring.
Sydney Cherry, 10th grade 4-H/FFA student at Chester County High School stole the spotlight for the evening winning Grand Champion Junior Hereford Heifer. This is a huge accomplishment winning a show of this magnitude in her second year of competition. Sydney has had a great show season this summer, and continues to learn and improve each time out.
Congrats to Bristol and Sydney on your accomplishments thus far in the showring this year, we will continue to follow you and good luck at the rest of the shows this fall at all the county fairs. Large thanks go to the parents, Brandy and Jason Cherry for supporting these girls with their beef project.
