News from the Montezuma Community of Chester County

with Gayle Cox

It appeared that the Barbeque Festival was a big success. The weather was perfect for outdoor events, and I think most people were happy to be out and about, knowing that we are going to be facing colder weather before too long. Enjoy this fall season while it is here. It is so hard to believe that we are already at the end of September. Just three months to go for this year, and we can write 2021 into history.
All membership dues that were not paid for 2020 and the ones for 2021 are currently due. Dues are $25 per year and can be mailed to Ann Moore at 2715 State Rt. 225, Henderson, TN 38340. We definitely need everyone to be proactive on this matter since it may be a while before we can hold another breakfast event due to the rise in COVID cases once again.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to William Atkin on Oct. 2, Betty M Cooper on Oct. 5 and Eloise Parker on Oct. 5.
Montezuma sends out happy anniversary wishes JW and Audrey Garner on Sept. 30 (68 years) and Rick and Erin Fontana on Oct. 6.
With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for the situation, our government and salvation for the lost.
Please pray for Holt Burkhead, Michael Moody, Chad Lott, Faye Morrison, Vickie Finley, Joyce Beecham, Doug Thomas, Tavish and Lachlan Cox, Ann Morrison, Jessie Pugh, Kristen Daniel, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Healthcare Workers and Law Enforcement. We especially want to remember the families of Jesse Aguilar, Ed Cherry, Denny Allen Hubler and other families that have recently lost loved ones.
Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
