Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions Volleyball blow past Williams Baptist

The Lady Lions volleyball team (6-8, 1-5 MSC) blew past Williams Baptist (0-14) on Saturday, earning a sweep (25-17, 25-10, 25-15) over the Eagles.
After a shaky start in the first set, the Lady Lions were able to gain control after leading 13-11 when they went on a 6-2 run to make it 19-12, and they were able to hold on to take the first set.
The second set was all Lady Lions from the jump behind a 7-0 start off the serve from Katie Speaks. The third set was much of the same when the Lady Lions jumped out to a 17-4 lead.
The Eagles made a good attempt at a rally in the third set, but the Lady Lions were able to hold them off and earn the sweep.
Ashlynne Clifft, Kacey Donegan and Claire Walker each had nine kills in the win, followed by Avery Harris with six.
Allie Humphry finished the contest with 25 assists.
