Greetings from Deanburg! I hope you in our community and others have been well this week. It looks like COVID is not going away anytime soon. So continue to be safe, practice social distancing and wear masks in crowds.
I am sorry I did not get my news in last week. These are our belated birthdays. Oct. 1 was Hunter Collins, Oct. 3 was Reece Collins and Oct. 5 was Allyson Enfinger. I hope you all had a wonderful birthday.
This week we have only one birthday date. Aleigh Brown, Elizabeth Hopper and Judy Concialdi all celebrate on Oct. 10! Enjoy your special day!
Please continue to pray for the ones on our prayer list: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Samantha Mosier, Joyce Stewart and Woodie Deming. Please pray for all of the COVID victims. We all know someone that has it so be diligent in your prayers.
Our devotion this week:
“Don’t Give Up” – “‘So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (NLT) (Galatians 6:9)’
“Some days are simply overwhelming and cause us to want to give up. God desires us to be persistent in our good work. Maybe you’re trying to mend a broken relationship with a family member and some days are very tough. Sometimes work can be hectic and unforgiving. And sometimes it’s a dream of yours to work on something that you’re passionate about and gifted in. There are peaks and valleys for all of these journeys, but remember to be strong, hopeful, and believe in your heavenly father.” – http://www.jctrois.com/dailybibledevotion
God bless each of you this week! Smile, and I bet you will get one back!
Call me at 879-9777 to give me some news. I would still like to hear from people raised in Deanburg with your memories.
