Chester County High School Boys Golf team places seventh at state

The Chester County Boys Golf team may have not won it all, but they still broke a Chester County High School record as the first Boys Golf team to make it to the state tournament according to according to CCHS Head Coach Colby Brown.
“This group will always hold the title of first CCHS golf team to make it to state but the boys are eager to set the bar even higher in the future,” Brown said.
The team placed seventh at the Boys Golf State Tournament Friday at the Sevierville golf club.
Colton Owen placed T17 in individuals out of 64 golfers. On day two Austin Ketchum shot a career low 75 leading the eagles to a day two charge.
Brown said he was proud of his team this season and that he was glad that they could have the state tournament experience.
The boys were grateful for the experience of competing with some of the best teams in the state.
“I am so proud of how this team competed this year with some great competition. This team is young and will likely see another shot at a state championship in the near future,” Brown said.
