Chester County COVID-19 Update


As of Tuesday, October 19, a total of 3,500 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Chester County since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020.
This is an increase of 30 cases in the past week, 27 fewer than last week’s increase.
Of the total cases, 39 are currently active, which is a decrease of 41 active cases since last week. “Active” cases are determined by the amount of time which has lapsed since diagnosis.
The number of inactive or recovered cases is 3,389. Total COVID-related deaths in the county have increased by one this week to 72.
The county also reports 36.36% of local residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, with 32.85% having received both doses, or series completion.
Tennessee reports a total of 1,267,363 cases statewide with 1,231,344 recorded as inactive or recovered and 15,973 deaths related to the coronavirus.
