Josh Wheeler Obituary – JUNE 7, 1985 – NOV. 5, 2021


Joshua Paul Wheeler, 36, of Henderson passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital surrounded by many family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Ave. Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Crook Ave from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday and then from 4-6 p.m. on Friday.
He was born on Friday, June 7, 1985, along with his identical twin brother, Kyle Jeremy, to their parents, Jerry and Jacki Roland Wheeler. He grew up in the Montezuma-Laurel Hill area of Chester County in Henderson where he attended Chester County schools.
He enjoyed the country life and outdoors. He loved to decorate for the holidays. He was a fun loving, gracious host and a very ambitious young man who enjoyed a good challenge. This was evident even in childhood, and his family knew he was destined for success. He was the owner and manager of Wheeler Investment Properties which he established himself in his early 20s and continued until his death.
He was always compassionate toward animals in need and provided a loving home for countless rescues.  He and Kevin Matthews were also the loving caregivers for his great-uncle Ray Moore for many years before his passing.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry Wheeler of Jackson and Jacki Wheeler of Henderson; his twin brother, Kyle (Chad) Wheeler of Jackson; two nephews, Skyler and Mason Wilhite of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Wheeler of Bad Kuezach, Germany; his best friend and business partner, Kevin Matthews of Henderson; and a host of many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Lance Roland Wheeler in 2010.
