City to consider packaged beer permit procedure


Henderson Mayor Bobby King and city aldermen are scheduled to meet for the December board meeting at 7 p.m. this evening, Dec. 9, at the city hall chambers.
The first item to be discussed is the consideration of allowing a “Letter of Intent” to be filed for a potential packaged beer permit application the same as is allowed for a packaged liquor permit application.
The board will also discuss and consider approval of architect selection and fee for city hall renovations and the need for a Master Plan the Gene Record Memorial Park.
Mayor King and the aldermen will also appoint or re-appoint one member to each the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Industrial Development Board and the City Park Advisory Board.
Additional items needing approval include:
Approval for the Utility Department to order a new 2500 Pickup on State Contract.
Approve the Utility Department to hire an engineer to design the sewer extension to the hotel site
Approve the purchase of equipment for the sewer lagoons to treat the discharge water to meet new limits approved by TDEC.
