Just a quick reminder about the benefit for Russell Kinchen. It will be from 4-6 p.m. (or until sold out) Saturday, Aug. 17. We will have a spaghetti dinner and bake sale. You may dine-in or carry out, and cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids. The event will be held at the Sweetlips Community Center. We are asking anyone who can to donate cakes, pies, cookies, bread, candy, etc. I believe it is our mission to help our fellow man in their time of need if possible. For information, call Neal Kinchen at 989-7342, JoAnn Greer at 989-7523, Cindy Springer at 989-7046 or Sweetlips Store at 989-2156. Hope to see you there!

Did you ever have a day where even the simple things become a problem? I had been running all day Friday and raced home to get ready for revival. I first started looking for my shoes – nowhere to be found! I then started the hunt for black pantyhose. You’re right. None! I finally found some and was doing a balancing act to get them on. I got one foot in and was so wobbly that I had to sit down to finish the job! Then, there was the slip, one of three, that all hung well below my dress. Then, I looked down, and two of my toes were sticking out of the pantyhose. You know, some days you just have to laugh at yourself or situations and move forward, which I did.
Hope you have a great week. Check in on the elderly and shut-ins this week, as the temperatures are soaring into triple digits.
Keep smiling!
