An adult and two juveniles will be charged with assault in relation to an incident following Chester County High School graduation ceremonies last week in Henderson.
According to an HPD press release, officers responded to a fight in a large parking lot at approximately 8 p.m. Monday, May 13. As they arrived, officers reportedly saw a large crowd of people dispersing and began taking statements and talking with witnesses and alleged victims. Chester County Sheriff deputies then responded to a residence in the county to speak with someone who had been involved in the incident.
It was determined that a fight had occurred involving juveniles and adults. At this time a warrant for one adult has been issued for assault, and juvenile petitions have been issued for two juveniles, also for assault. HPD is not releasing the juveniles’ names, and the adult had not been picked up as of press time Tuesday.
The exact cause and number of people involved is still under active investigation. Additional details will be released as they become available.
“This appears to be an isolated incident, and we are actively continuing our investigation, more charges or even amended charges could still come in the future,” stated Chief of Police Gary Davidson.
