American Legion Post 157 in Henderson will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 21 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Chester County Senior Center, 247 E. Main Street in Henderson.
The American Legion is open to veterans and persons who are presently serving on active duty, with the Reserves or with the National Guard.  We are also looking for new members to start Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion chapters to our Post. Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary is open to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of the American Legion, and to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States.   Membership in the Sons of the American Legion is open to all male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in Service or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service.
Each meeting of all American Legion Posts (and Post 157 is no exception) follows a specified program including the Pledge of Allegiance and special homage to our military personnel who are still listed as Missing in Action (MIA) or Prisoners of War (POWs).
All persons who meet the criteria for membership are encouraged to attend the approximately 90 minute meeting and learn what the American Legion is doing in YOUR community and what the American Legion can do for you.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Chris Dunbar, commander of American Legion Post 157, at 731-608-5547.
