ANITA MAYFIELD Obituary – Aug. 14, 1958 – Feb. 23, 2022

Anita Gail Mayfield, 63, of Finger passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at her home. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel. The family received friends at East Main from noon-2 p.m. service time on Tuesday.
She was born Aug. 14, 1958 in Cook County, Ill., and adopted by the late Walter Lawrence and Tommie Norma Duberry Mayfield. She grew up in Chester County. She graduated from Chester County High School. She received her CNA license from Jackson State Community College.
She had worked at Jackson General Hospital, UT Family Practice and mostly in home healthcare.
She attended Estes Church of Christ. She loved life and her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kyli (Dale) Mayfield Heller of Henderson and Harlee Swezea of Henderson; two brothers, Terry Newkirk of Covington and Roger (Jennifer) Newkirk of Covington; two sisters, Alma (John) Gordon of Water Valley, Miss., and Pam (Bruce) Whitfield of Covington; six grandchildren, Dyllan Morrison, Dustin Morrison, Makayla Morrison, Taelor Morrison, Ryder Swezea Morrison and Rhaelyn Swezea; and one great-grandchild, Mylah Barner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
