The Henderson Police Department made an arrest in connection with theft from multiple storage units at a location on U.S. Hwy 45. Investigators determined that the theft occurred during the day on April 19, 2020.
Video surveillance captured a vehicle of interest coming onto the property pulling a small trailer then later leaving with items in the truck and trailer that had been taken out of multiple locked units. During the early phase of the investigation more video footage showed that the vehicle traveled north on U.S. Hwy 45 towards Madison County. The police department released images of the vehicle of interest and quickly received numerous tips and leads which led to the arrest of 53-year-old Terry Lee Wallace of Jackson.
Chief of Police Gary A. Davidson stated that this is still an active and ongoing investigation, and he stresses more arrests and charges may follow. Chief Davidson wants to thank the concerned citizens who called in the tips and leads.
“Without the help of the public, we could not do our job nearly as effective as what we do,” he said. “This department is always grateful for the community input and support we receive.”
Wallace currently is charged with three counts of burglary other than habitation, three counts of vandalism under $1,000, two counts of theft under $1,000 and one count of theft over $1,000. He is held in the Chester County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Chester County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 5.
