Chester County voters will head to the polls for local elections August 1. Early voting is July 12-27.
Open seats for local office include: City of Henderson Mayor, City of Henderson Alderman (three positions), Chester County Commission District Three, Chester County Property Assessor and Chester County School Board District Three, Four and Five, City of Enville Mayor and City of Enville Alderman (five positions).
The following individuals have qualified to run for office in Henderson and Chester County (party affiliation noted in parenthesis):
City of Henderson Mayor – Mark Barber, Terry Bell;
City of Henderson Alderman – Sheila Eckard, Buel Snookum Maness, Norma Meissner, Michael Phelps, Jason Rhodes;
County Commission District Three – Luke Weaver (R);
Chester County Assessor of Property – Bubba Edgin (R), Beverly Morton (I);
School Board District Three – Ben Cupples (I);
School Board District Four – Gloria Holiday (D), Kim Scott (R);
School Board District Five – Becky Hutcherson (I);
City of Enville Mayor – Melinda Johnston;
City of Enville Alderman – James Parker Herndon, Shane Johnston, Molly Marchbanks, Wanda Kay Ritter, Nikalaus Wesley Weatherington.
