BILLY E. DICKSON Obituary – Feb. 16, 1951 – Dec. 25, 2020

Billy Eugene Dickson, 69, of Jacks Creek passed away Dec. 25, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Sammy McAdams and Keith Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born Feb. 16, 1951 in Henderson County, son of the late Vester Ernest and Lela Hart Dickson. He grew up in Jacks Creek and graduated from Chester County High School in 1969. He attended Jackson State Community College where he earned an Associate Degree in Computer Science.
He married Vicki Ross in 1971. They made their home at Jacks Creek.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very active in community and church ministries. He was a founding member of the Chester County Rescue Squad, former volunteer member of the Jacks Creek Fire Department and Building Trades teacher at Chester County High School from 1977-1982. He built turnkey houses for 15 years then started K-2 Woodworks to build custom cabinetry until 2017.  
He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church but had been attending and considered Shiloh Baptist Church home.
He joined teams of missionaries for trips to Guatemala where they built a boys dormitory for an orphanage and went to Eastern Kentucky to deliver food supplies. He was also a founding member of Faith, Hope and Love food ministries in Henderson.
He selflessly gave his time, resources and talents to anyone in need.
He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandsons.        He is survived by his wife, Vicki Jewel Ross Dickson; daughters, Kami (Keith) Carlson of Henderson and Keisha (Donald) Jones of Henderson; and grandchildren, Victor Carlson, Alex Jones, Aiden Jones, Peter Carlson and Brendan Carlson.
