Brenda Carol Stack Cooper, 75, of Henderson passed away April 20, 2021 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Charlie Crouthers, Bob Gipson and Roger Hatch officiating. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.
She was born Jan. 9, 1946 in Silerton, the daughter of the late Gilbert Aaron and Lois Mildred Holloway Stack. She grew up in Silerton and attended Bolivar Central High School.
She was primarily a homemaker but also worked as a teacher’s aide at Toone and Bolivar Elementary schools and then worked as a caretaker/sitter. She loved people and never met a stranger. A member of Silerton Baptist Church, she loved her church and enjoyed keeping the nursery. She enjoyed raising flowers and loved family gatherings and keeping the family together.
She married Robert Walter Cooper on June 28, 1997. They made their home in Montezuma.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Walter Cooper of Henderson; a son, Thomas “Tommy” Lynn (Dujuana) Naylor of Hornsby; one stepson, Chris Caven (Derrith) Cooper of Henderson; four grandchildren, Thomas Cody (Brittany) Naylor, Sarah Brooke Naylor, Hailey Raymond and Peyton Cooper; five great-grandchildren, Ramsey Naylor, Aurea Raymond, Shayne Raymond, Cooper King, Kenna King with another one on the way; brothers, Gilbert Lee (Frances) Stack of Toone and Grady Alfred (Carolyn) Stack of Silerton; and four sisters, Ann Hinson of Henderson, Mary Lynn (Frankie) Lambert of Henderson; Betty (Edmon) Burnett of Huntsville, Ala., and Janice (Steve) Emerson of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Bobby Hinson.
