Broderick ‘Brodie’ Beecham – July 15, 1987 – Sept. 4, 2020

Broderick Carlton Beecham, 53, of Henderson passed away Sept. 4, 2020 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital ER. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Iran Smith and Bro. Glenn Harris officiating. Burial followed in Old Friendship Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
He was born July 15, 1967 in Jackson and grew up in the Montezuma Community, the son of Roy Gene Beecham, Sr. and Joyce Lanell Naylor Beecham. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1986 and graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College. He worked in mechanics at Dement Construction, later Magna Tech in Lexington and Thompson Machinery Caterpillar Dealership and most recently as a jailer at McNairy County Sherriff’s Department.
He was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.
He loved hunting, fishing and collecting guns. He loved his nephews and spending time with them.
He is survived by his parents, Roy Gene and Joyce Naylor Beecham of Henderson; a brother, Roy Gene (Connie) Beecham, Jr. of Henderson; three nephews, Chase Beecham, Tanner (Lauren) Beecham and Trey Beecham; and great-niece and nephew, Adalyn and Brooks.
