Carl Armstrong Obituary – April 30, 1943 – April 21, 2022

Carl Lee “Ike” Armstrong, 78, of Beech Bluff passed away Thursday afternoon, April 21, 2022, at Transitional Therapy Care in Jackson.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Ken Frye officiating.
Burial followed in Big Springs Cemetery. The family received friends at East Main from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. service time Monday.
He was born April 30, 1943 in Madison County, the Diamond Grove Community, the son of the late Joseph Chaffer and Johnnie Bell Moore Armstrong Wiles.
He attended school at Pinson.
He farmed as a young man and worked at the Madison County Hwy. Department as a mower and flag man.
He enjoyed watching westerns on television and enjoyed going with his brother to look at farm equipment.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary Rice and Minnie Austin both of Henderson and Margaret Ann (Curtis) Alexander of Pinson; a brother, Ted (Betty) Armstrong of Spring Creek; and two sister-in-laws, Betty Armstrong of Pinson and Jan Armstrong of Aurora, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Armstrong, Noel Armstrong and Tommy Armstrong; and a sister, Dorothy Armstrong.
