CARROLL WILLIAMS – AUG. 20, 1943 – OCT. 29, 2021

Carroll Douglas Williams, 78, of Cleveland passed away Oct. 29, 2021 at his home in Cleveland.
Graveside services were 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mason Wells Cemetery with Randy Pickens officiating.
The family received friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.      
He was born Aug. 20, 1943 in Mifflin, the son of the late Joseph Edward and Ophelia Joyner Williams. He grew up and attended school in Mifflin. He married Geraldine Cupples on Jan. 27, 1962. They were married 59 years. They made their home in Mifflin. He was a Baptist in belief.
He was a truck driver for Copen Associates for well over 20 years retiring in 2005. He then opened his own business, Williams Discount Tires in Mifflin. He enjoyed fishing and working on old tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Cupples Williams of Cleveland; four sons, Doug (Chrystal) Williams of Henderson, Mark (Jeanette) Williams of Henderson, Chris (Kim) Williams of Adamsville and Barry (Jennifer) Williams of Mifflin; two daughters, Lana (Steve) Nelson of Finger and Shannon (Dusty) Rymer of Cleveland; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dewayne Williams of Mifflin; and three sisters, Rachel Ellington of Mifflin, Margie (Carlos) McGhee of Mifflin and Lola Austin of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
