Chester 25 – McNairy 7

By Kendall Patterson

Excitement took over Chester County fans after the Eagles defeated McNairy on Friday night.
The Eagles’ special teams played a big part of the game.
Chester Co. kicker Colston Callis got the first points of the game with a field goal. Then on the kickoff, Callis kicks the ball perfectly in front of the goalline and his teammates swarmed down the field to tackle the return man in the endzone for a safety.
After that, the Eagles just controlled the game for the win.
Throughout the game, it seemed as if McNairy were no match for Chester County.
The Eagles were able to score their 25 points before the Bobcats even managed to get their one and only touchdown in the fourth quarter.
“We’re proud of the kids effort,” Head Coach Steve Robinson said. “We’re steadily seeing improvement on both sides of the ball. I can see progress beginning to take place.”
