Chester County Board of Education discusses new swing system

During the Chester County Board of Education meeting on Thursday, March 12, Heather Griffin, the Coordinated School Health Coordinator, discussed a new swing system for the Pipkin Sportsplex which was purchased and also explained the PIP surface installed under the swings which is a safer option than many others.
Approvals during the meeting:
The board approved the recommendation of textbooks that represent the preferred English/Language Arts textbooks across all grades in Chester County Schools and the preferred Criminal Justice textbooks at Chester County High School.
Adjustments was approved to portions of the rental costs structure for Williams Auditorium. This includes a rental cost of $500 per day vs. 10 percent of ticket sales with $1,000 cap.
Recommendation was approved for early dismissal of specific CCHS athletic teams of at least 30 minutes before the end of the school day when the start of the games/meets and the distance of travel to the event require them to.
